Thankfully, the game does a pretty good job of telling you when you haven’t fully searched an area. You’ll want to bring up your map and note any sections that are marked in red. These will turn blue once all items have been collected. If it’s red, there’s still something useful to be had.

The most noteworthy missable item is the Lightning Hawk magnum pistol, which is a hugely powerful weapon that players really don’t want to skip. It’s found in the Hospital Courtyard and is accessible when you take control of Jill. It’s obtained by crawling through a tight passage on the second floor, before then jumping out of the window.

The grenade launcher is another big missable. If you’re sprinting away in terror from the Hunter Gamma fish in the Sewers, it’s possible to miss the grenade launcher. Fight off the big fish and make sure you grab this weapon!
