To use the Advanced UAV in Call of Duty: Warzone, you need all players in your squad to deploy their UAVs simultaneously. Instead of only revealing the location of nearby enemies, using the Advanced UAV will display the location of every single player on the map.

The timing here is very important: Wait too long, and each player will only deploy a standard UAV. To make sure this doesn’t happen, it’s wise to use voice communications to sync up your actions. When performed correctly, the Advanced UAV will uncover the location of up to 147 other players spread across the island.
Not only will this give you a sense of the enemies nearby, it can also give you an idea of where to head next. If your squad is confident, you can seek out the nearest group of players you’re ready to take out. If not, you can find safe spaces where you can collect more gear and start working out a strategy.
It’s worth mentioning that the Advanced UAV in Warzone is different than the one featured in Modern Warfare. That version is a specific killstreak reward given after downing 12 other players. The one in Warzone can only ever be used when three squad remembers deploy UAVs at the same time. It also doesn’t reveal the location of players using Ghost, which could be taken to mean that Warzone doesn’t actually feature advanced UAVs. Still, this is the term most often referred to in-game for when players deploy three UAVs in quick succession.
