Animal Crossing: New Horizons Redd Not Showing Up Fix

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Redd Not Showing Up Fix

If you’re suffering from an Animal Crossing: New Horizons Redd not showing up error, you’re not alone, as many of us here at GameRevolution are no longer seeing him on our islands. What’s the reason for Redd not showing up? Is there a Redd fix? Well, we’ve tried a few things. Here’s what you need to know about Redd going missing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Why is Redd not appearing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Redd Not Showing Up Fix

While Redd certainly comes across as a very unpredictable character, who comes and goes as he pleases, some players have grown worried about his prolonged absence. After weeks of in-game time, Redd still hasn’t appeared for some players, and it’s difficult to tell why.

ALSO: Will Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ popularity survive the summer?

I first personally noticed that Redd was no longer visiting my island after he sold me some fake artwork. I then assumed his disappearance was due to him successfully conning me. I figured he’d eventually be back and that I would try not to be fooled again. However, Redd has not returned and continues to be missing.

Several of my colleagues at GameRevolution have also noticed the red fox’s disappearance, with Redd not showing up on their island since his first visit. This means that the art gallery in the museum is more empty than full, a sore sight for any visitors.

There hasn’t yet been any official word on an Animal Crossing: New Horizons Redd not appearing fix, though we expect the next patch to include some mention of the character’s disappearance.

For what it’s worth, Redd still seems to be visiting islands whose residents have not time traveled. However, the developer said that time travel is a valid way to play, and so players shouldn’t be punished for fiddling with the Switch’s clock.
