Fallout 76 Double XP May 2020 | 2x experience start and end date

Fallout 76 might’ve gotten off to a bad start, but the recent Wastelanders update has helped to reverse its fortunes somewhat. With new players being tempted into the fold via the addition of NPCs and all-new story content, the timing is definitely right for Bethesda to offer 2x experience and help bring them up to speed. Here’s everything you need to know about the Fallout 76 double XP May 2020 event.

Fallout 76 Double XP May 2020 | Tips, start time and end date

Fallout 76 double XP May 2020

Fallout 76 is offering double XP for this entire weekend. Starting right now (Thursday, May 14) and running through Monday, May 18 players will earn double the experience points. While the Wastelanders update has garnered lots of praise, many also criticized the fact it features level-gated content. This weekend’s event presents the perfect opportunity to avoid any troublesome grinding.

Not only is the online Fallout game doubling up on rewards this weekend, but it’s also going free-to-play. For a limited time, Fallout 76 will be playable at no cost on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. These free play days run in conjunction with the Fallout 76 2x XP event, so from May 14 to May 18 as aforementioned.

If you want to level up fast, you might be surprised to learn that questing isn’t always the best way. Killing difficult enemies, taking part in multiplayer events, and defending workshops can be a great source of experience points. We have a dedicated guide on XP grinding and how to level up fast, which could come in handy.

There’s still plenty of Fallout 76 content to come, which was recently revealed via the game’s 2020 roadmap. It’s adopting a seasonal content model, with the first dropping in Summer and promising new high-level Legendary Perks along with a Legendary Boss Event. Getting sufficiently leveled ahead of time seems like a good plan.
