What are the Death Stranding PC requirements?

What are the Death Stranding PC requirements? If you’re excited about playing the first game from Kojima Productions on PC, you might be worried about needing a super-powerful computer for it to run well. Thankfully, it looks like a midrange system will be able to run Death Stranding without too much trouble.

Here’s the bad news: if you want to run Death Stranding at the bare minimum, you’re going to need at least a GTX 1050 according to the minimum requirements listed by PC Gamer. Those of you with older graphics cards might not have the best experience with the game.

ALSO: GeForce RTX 3080 images leak (and it looks kinda weird)

That said, the other requirements aren’t all that bad. Low-to-midrange processors can keep things going just fine and you’ll only need 8 GB of RAM to enjoy Sam’s adventures in a post-apocalyptic America.

Here are the Death Stranding minimum requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel® Core i5-3470 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 3 GB or AMD Radeon RX 560 4 GB
  • DirectX 12
  • HDD: 80GB
  • Sound cards: DirectX compatible

If you’d like the game to look a little better, you’re going to need a slightly beefier PC. A low-end Ryzen 5 will be required at the minimum, although you’ll still only need around 8GB of RAM.

Here are the Death Stranding recommended requirements for getting at least 30 FPS:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti  4 GB or Radeon RX 570 4 GB
  • DirectX 12
  • HDD: 80GB
  • Sound cards: DirectX compatible

60 FPS is generally regarded as the gold standard for running games well and not everyone can make it. That said, the requirements to get Death Stranding to run at a smooth 60FPS are surprisingly reasonable.

Here are the Death Stranding recommended requirements for 60 FPS:

  • OS: WIndows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD Radeon RX 590
  • DirectX 12
  • HDD: 80GB
  • Sound cards: DirectX compatible
