Can I change my island name in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

No. You cannot change your Animal Crossing: New Horizons island name. Unfortunately, there is no way to change your island name once you have created it at the start of your New Horizons life. Whether you like it or not, you’re stuck with the name you give your island at the beginning. That is unless you delete your island and start all over again.

While you cannot change the name of your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can delete your island and start the game all over again. This, of course, is a drastic action to take. If you delete your island, you will lose all progress up to that point. You will have a new island to explore, with a new name, new islanders, and a whole bunch of debt to pay off once more. Tom Nook will get some enjoyment out of the experience, at least.

So there you have it. You’re stuck with the name you give your island right at the start of the game. If you don’t want to start again, you’d better make sure you like the name you choose. We suggest you pick a name that’s witty at first, but that seems less funny each time you hear it. Like the Be Sharps.
