Ghost of Tsushima Higher Resolution vs Better Frame-Rate (PS4 Pro)

Ghost of Tsushima Higher Resolution

The choice is yours, but it does depend on your setup. If you have a 4K TV, we think you’ll prefer playing Ghost of Tsushima in its higher resolution mode. If you use a standard 1080p display, however, you should stick with the better frame-rate mode. Again, though, the choice is ultimately yours. No matter which graphics option you opt for, Ghost of Tsushima will look and play absolutely fine.

Sucker Punch recommends that you play in the game’s higher resolution mode if playing on a 4K TV. The higher resolution mode likely displays the game in a 1440p, upscaled to 4K, resolution. It will keep the frame-rate down to a stable 30 FPS, however. Better frame-rate, meanwhile, is recommended by the development team for those of you playing on a 1080p screen. This mode makes the game target a smooth 60 FPS. Either way, the game will look, and play, great.

In our experience, we stuck with the Ghost of Tsushima higher resolution option. The game’s detailed visuals really pop on a 4K display. The stable 30 FPS in higher resolution mode never detracts from the gameplay, either. Ghost of Tsushima’s controlled combat and stealth sections play perfectly smoothly in 30 FPS. Again, though, if you’ve not got a 4K display, you’re better off sticking to the 60 FPS mode. Either way, it’s time to follow the wind and take out your enemies in Ghost of Tsushima.
