Does Ghost of Tsushima have romance options?

Fans want to know if Ghost of Tsushima has romance options. Many games like it allow players one or more love interests. So, is Jin Sakai stuck fighting Mongols the whole game, or does he get the chance to have a romantic relationship? We’ll explain whether or not Ghost of Tsushima has any romance options below.

Warning: Spoilers below!

Does Ghost of Tsushima have romance options?

Jin is pretty busy, what with the Mongols invading his homeland and all. However, situations like that never kept similar games from sticking in a love story. If you’ve played Mass Effect or the recent Assassin’s Creed games, you’d think wooing and woohooing your way across Tsushima would be a given.

Unfortunately, Jin is singular in his purpose throughout the game, and the most romantic he gets is thinking about Yuna while soaking in the hot springs. That doesn’t mean that Jin doesn’t have any romantic inclinations, though.

Ghost of Tsushima Romance Options Yuna

In fact, in a few scenes in Ghost of Tsushima, Jin and Yuna seem very affectionate. They never quite cross the line, but there’s a scene where they almost kiss. Perhaps in a sequel, we’ll see their bond grow, but for now, they’re staying fellow warriors, not lovers.

Other than Yuna, Jin doesn’t seem to have anyone special in his life. He’s close with his uncle, Lord Shimura, and his childhood nanny, Yukiko. Other than that, Jin seems to be a bit of a loner. There’s a divide between him and most of Tsushima’s inhabitants. He’s the leader of the Sakai Clan, and Lord Shimura is obviously planning that he’ll inherit the office of Jito of Tsushima Island in the future.

Because of Jin’s stature in Japanese society, it makes sense that he doesn’t have many love interests. A marriage would likely be arranged for him by his uncle. This may be why we see him hesitate with Yuna. It’s likely ingrained in him that he’ll one day marry a noblewoman, and Yuna doesn’t fit that description.
