Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 Traps

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 marks the return of Traps. These placeable devices can be used to deal damage to unsuspecting enemies, which has been the cause of frustration and ultimately lead to their removal. Why are they back, then? Well, some players enjoy using Fornite Traps, and, by bringing them back, Epic Games has mixed the meta up while injecting a bit of nostalgia for long-term players. Fortnite items being vaulted and reintroduced with balance changes is also commonplace.

Traps were a feature of Fortnite Battle Royale since the beginning, transitioning over from PvE mode Fortnite Save the World. Love them or hate them, Traps are undeniably a big part of Fortnite‘s identity. That’s why it’s exciting to see Fortnite Traps return, but also entirely new Fortnite Traps be introduced.

Prolific leaker HYPEX shared a first look at the all-new Fortnite Fire Trap, which was datamined from the game’s files. Not only does the trap deal damage to all nearby enemies when it’s triggered, but it then launches fireballs as well.

The Fortnite Fire Trap sounds pretty cool, and with a damage output of 50, it’s also potentially deadly.
