To get more coins choose stages that have the most items that you have to find per go as the more items that you need to find the more potential points you will be able to earn.
If you connect to Facebook you will be able to send energy back and forth with your friends. If you do not have any friends who play the game just look on the Facebook page for the game or on the App Store review page.
When you have used all your energy go on a spree of evidence-analyzing to earn a good chunk of it back.
If you have energy and have memorized the stage replay it over and over again to earn easy stars by tapping the item as fast as you can.
Take a screen capture of the stage by pressing the 'Menu' and 'Sleep' button on your device simultaneously and then use it as a reference before pausing the game.
The faster you complete a stage the more points you will earn. If you pause the game the timer will stop counting down.
