Snapchat Bounce - How to do a Boomerang on Snapchat

Snapchat Bounce | How to make a Boomerang video

Snapchat offers a lot of different ways to jazz up your videos. In fact, there’s even a way to create a looping video largely similar to Boomerang on Instagram. Here’s what you need to do to make a Boomerang on Snapchat by using the app’s Bounce feature.

To make a Boomerang video on Snapchat, you need to use the Bounce option. After recording a video, press the infinity logo to access the loop menu. From there you’ll be able to adjust the Bounce slider to control the video’s loop. This results in a Boomerang-like video that plays forward and then backward in a repeating pattern.

Launched back in 2018, Bounce is Snapchat’s play on Instagram’s Boomerang feature. It functions basically the same way, where videos effectively “bounce” from the end back to the beginning. Curiously, this feature is an iOS exclusive: There’s no way to make Boomerang videos on Snapchat for Android devices.

As expected, the function is very easy to use. Pressing the loop icon in the camera window gives a slider that will adjust the video’s Bounce point. The loops can’t be very long, but you will be able to fine-tune shorter videos to repeat however you like. If longer videos are your thing, here’s how to record Snapchat video without holding the button down.

Since Android users can’t use this function, they’ll have to settle for the default options. In 2020, those remain either a single loop or an infinite loop. The infinite option is only available on videos less than 10 seconds. When checked, the video will continue repeating until the recipient presses on the screen.

To use the Boomerang video function in Snapchat, press the loop button and adjust the Bounce slider. It’s as easy as that. This feature remains iOS exclusive, at least for the time being. If you’re running an Apple device, use Bounce videos to make all of your Android friends jealous.
