Predator: Hunting Grounds 2.05 Update Patch Notes | New map and mode

Predator: Hunting Grounds 2.05 Update Patch Notes | New map and mode

The Predator: Hunting Grounds 2.05 update patch notes bring some content to the game that people have been waiting for for a long time: a new map and mode. Now players can murder one another in a new area that’s just slightly different from the other murder playgrounds. There’s also some slight balance changes as well.

Predator: Hunting Grounds 2.05 Update Patch Notes | New map and mode

The new map is called Excavation and, according to Illfonic, is more vertical than the others. You can see a glimpse of it in the above picture. It sounds like it will help the Predator out, given its agility, but, much like a cloaked Yajuta, that remains to be seen.

The new mode is called Clash and sets four humans against four humans to capture territories. Every point and kill fills your team’s Predator bar, which gives that team the iconic Predator once full. You get to respawn, too, so this seems like a less hardcore version of the game and might be easier to jump into.

There are also a handful of balance changes. Aside from having 12 loadout slots, a lot of the gear and perks have been slightly tweaked. Even a lot of the Predator classes have new stats. It’s too many to list out coherently so you can check the full notes below for a full breakdown.

Also note that the Mercenary ’87 weapon is now available for those who hit level 90. It was part of the ’87 Dutch premium DLC. There are also a whole host of new skins and tints to unlock.

New Map: Excavation

This map still features the iconic jungle –but will force both the Fireteam and Predator to think vertically and spatially as they traverse through an intricate multi-level cave system.

New Mode: Clash

Clash is the ultimate 4v4 PVP that puts players in an all-out, no-holds-barred war. Lasting roughly fifteen minutes, two Fireteams will spawn on one of the four Predator: Hunting Grounds maps with one goal:to capture a location before the next capture area spawns. While each team battles it out to claim territory, every point gained and enemy killed fills up your team’s Predator meter. Once filled, the Predator mode is unlocked and one person on your team will become the extraterrestrial hunter.
