Talking to ghosts will allow players to receive more evidence and find out which ghost they are hunting in order to successfully complete each mission. Here’s how to talk to ghosts and all questions you can ask ghosts in Phasmophobia using voice recognition.

Phasmophobia | How to talk to ghost guide

You do not need to push-to-talk in order to talk to ghosts in Phasmophobia. The ghosts will hear everything you are saying into your microphone, so you don’t need to press V on keyboard in order to get them to listen to you.

The ghosts will potentially answer certain questions or respond to certain statements. These questions can be asked either generally, or by using equipment such as the spirit box or ouija board. Ghosts can also respond to statements you may make without realizing, such as “I’m scared” or “hide.”

Phasmophobia‘s objectives will often encourage you to say the ghost’s name in order to anger it. While this is useful if a ghost is taking a while to appear, in many situations this can cause the ghost to start to hunt you and your team, increasing the chances of you being killed while ghost hunting. Instead, it’s worth asking general questions or using the spirit box, as the ouija board also runs the risk of greatly angering the apparition.
