Genshin Impact allows you to grow both your characters and your weapons. If you want to level up your gear, you’ll need to get Weapon Ascension Materials from Domains of Forgery. Rewards aside, there are also specific missions that challenge you to clear a set number of these domains. No matter why you’re looking for them, each of these areas will offer a rare item needed to boost your overall power. Here’s everything you need to know.
All Domains of Forgery in Genshin Impact
Domains of Forgery in Genshin Impact are Abyssal Domains that offer Weapon Ascension Materials. For now, there are just two Domains of Forgery in the game: Cecilia Garden and the Hidden Palace of Lianshan Formula.
Cecilia Garden Abyss Domain is located within Wolvendom, in the area due west of Mondstadt. You can get to it by fast traveling to the marker south of Stormterror’s Lair.
The Hidden Palace of Lianshan Formula is father south, in Liyue. It’s just east of Mingyun Village, southwest of the icy area known as Dragonspine. The quickest way to reach it is to fast travel to the nearby Statue of the Seven in Mingyun.
Weapon Ascension Materials and rewards
The main reason to visit Domains of Forgery is to get Weapon Ascension Materials. Be warned, though: these materials aren’t easy to acquire. Each visit to a Domain requires you to defeat a set number of enemies, often within a time limit. As if that wasn’t challenging enough, you also have to deal with random debuffs: Every Domain applies a set Ley Line Disorder, which makes it more difficult to clear out the enemies within.
These aren’t the only wrinkles, either. Domains of Forgery also have a rotation of different rewards based on the day of the week. If you want a certain reward, you have to take on the challenge during a specific weekday. What’s more, the rewards will change depending on the level, which is based on your Adventure Rank. The first level opens up at Adventure Rank 16, while Levels 2, 3, and 4 open up at ranks 21, 30, and 40 respectively. The more advanced materials are only available when taking on challenges at higher levels.
