This is if the game follows the lead of another high-profile CDPR title, The Witcher 3. Official plans regarding a Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate release have been announced by developer CD Projekt RED at this time, however.
CDPR’s Lead PR Manager, Radek Grabowski, replied to VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb earlier this year to state that there were “No Game Pass plans for Cyberpunk 2077.”

That could have changed in the ensuing months, though it’s clear that Cyberpunk at least won’t be added to the Game Pass catalog on launch day.
Of course, it’s important to note that the tweet doesn’t rule out Cyberpunk 2077 coming to Xbox Game Pass in the future. Xbox is the lead marketing partner for Cyberpunk, as it was for The Witcher 3, which goes to show that CDPR and Microsft have a good working relationship. Considering the ever-increasing popularity of Xbox Game Pass as well, it’s very possible that Cyberpunk will join the service somewhere down the line.
Is Cyberpunk 2077 coming to Game Pass on Xbox Series X|S?
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt took over four years to join the Xbox Game Pass catalog, so, if past precedent is anything to go on, Cyberpunk 2077 could be available to subscribers in late 2024 or 2025. That’s the current best estimate, as developer CD Projekt RED hasn’t announced any specifics at the time of writing.
Is Cyberpunk 2077 coming to Game Pass on PC?
Xbox Game Pass for PC and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers may be able to download and play Cyberpunk 2077 for free in a few years’ time. That’s if the game follows in the footsteps of TW3, the developer’s previous heavy-hitter, which joined Game Pass over four years after its initial launch.
