Cyberpunk 2077 Sweet Dreams - Where to find equipment

Cyberpunk 2077 Sweet Dreams | Where to find equipment

It’s hard to survive the perils of Night City without the use of your gear. Unfortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 players are running into a problem resulting in the loss of all equipment. This odd situation occurs during the Sweet Dreams side job, where not only can you lose your gear, but lose your money, too. Here’s where to find your equipment and get all your gear back before the quest concludes.

Where to find lost gear in Sweet Dreams

Cyberpunk 2077 - Where to find equipment in Sweet Dreams

The Sweet Dreams quest in Cyberpunk 2077 sees you working with a sketchy NPC named Stefan. After paying Stefan for the braindance, you’ll wake up and realize that all of your equipment is missing. You can get your gear back by finding the locker near the quest’s end.

This side job is a real can of worms. After meeting at the shady No-Tell Motel, Stefan will offer to sell you a BD at the eye-watering cost of 16,000 Eurodollars. He’ll even have the gall to ask for an extra 4,000 eddies for equipment. Given the end result of the quest, it’s best not to pay him at all. However, you can skip the 4,000 Eurodollar payment and still progress through the job.

Find and retrieve your equipment

After undertaking the braindance, you’ll wake up in a Scav hideout with all of your gear missing. You’ll eventually need to escape the hideout, but you’ll notice there’s an optional objective to find and retrieve your equipment. As it turns out, this objective isn’t really optional at all. If you don’t find your equipment now, it will be lost forever.

Fortunately, you can get your equipment back toward the end of the quest. Leave the bathroom and walk past the computer desk to spot a giant hole in the wall. You’ll probably have to stealth-kill a few Scavs along the way. Once in the open room, look through the hole to spot a locker. Reach it safely, and you’ll find all of your missing gear.

From there, the rest of the side quest is straightforward. The Scavs won’t be happy to see you, so take them all out. Once you’re done, you’ll have the option to confront Stefan, who will be similarly displeased. Regardless of what you say, you won’t get any of your money back. There’s no consequence if you decide to kill Stefan just to make yourself feel better.

If you plan to undertake Sweet Dreams, it’s best to stash your equipment somewhere safe beforehand. Some players have reported that they were unable to open the locker due to a bug or glitch, meaning their gear simply vanished. In this case, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Otherwise, don’t pay Stefan any more than you have to, as you won’t get any of your money back. If you already have, here’s how to farm Eurodollars quickly.
