Call of Duty: Warzone - How to fix dev error 6635

Dev error 6635 in Call of Duty: Warzone seems to be caused by using certain Black Ops: Cold War character skins. When it appears, users will be kicked from matches or may experience an outright game crash. Thankfully, players report that you can fix dev error 6635 by swapping your selected operator skin, weapon, emblem, or calling card.

Numerous reports of error 6635 have appeared on the Activision Support forums, where players say they keep getting kicked from matches. However, several players have chimed in to say that the error code disappeared after choosing a new character skin. More specifically, the error resolved after swapping from a Cold War skin to one from Modern Warfare.

For whatever reason, dev error 6635 seems to be caused by using Cold War character skins specifically. As such, the easiest way to fix it is to choose another skin — any skin not from Cold War should do the trick.

This method first appeared when players reported that the error code went away after changing their entire loadout. Some suggested that using Modern Warfare weapons and calling cards helped. However, in many  instances, these players also changed their active skin. Given all of the reports, it seems as if the chosen skin is the main problem. Still, if you have extra weapons, calling cards, and emblems available, it wouldn’t hurt to swap everything out and see what happens — again, not using anything from Cold War.

If you keep encountering dev error 6635 in Call of Duty: Warzone, remove any Cold War cosmetics from your loadout. Instead, choose operator skins, weapons, emblems, and calling cards from Modern Warfare. This should be enough to get rid of the error code and finally be able to complete matches without getting booted back to the menu.
