Train your gym instructor and level up him/her to unlock new workouts! New workouts are needed for missions and VIP clients.
Don't buy unnecessary items like room paints, gym clothes and instructor heads. These arejust for visuals and does nothing. Only buy them if they are needed for missions.
You can sell decorations to gain coins and you can only get decorations when you level up. Just sell decorations if you are currently short at money or needed to buy new gym equipment.
More equipment equals avoid waiting and more choices for your clients. Buy two or three sets of the same equipment to avoid waiting but it depends on your budget and the quantity of you're clients.
You need to prioritize them to gain experience and more importantly to get more bucks. You can buy premium equipment but avoid buying "early buy" equipment. Just level up your gym instructor and you can unlock them.
