Nintendo’s April Indie World Showcase brought plenty of exciting announcements to the table, with one of the biggest being The House of the Dead: Remake. The campy rail shooter has a huge cult following thanks to its arcade dominance and eventual move into the home console space. What are the HOTD: Remake platforms, though? Is it a Switch exclusive? Here’s the latest on The House of the Dead: Remake PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC versions.

The House of the Dead: Remake is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2021. At the time of writing, there have been no announcements regarding PlayStation versions for either PS5 or PS4.

Although House of the Dead: Remake PlayStation ports are still up in the air, they could happen in the future. The only confirmed platform for HOTD: Remake is Nintendo Switch, but it hasn’t outright been given exclusive status. It’s normal that Nintendo wouldn’t promote competitors’ platforms on its Indie World stream, so there could be a third-party announcement relating to additional platforms before launch.

Is The House of the Dead: Remake coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One?

HOTD: Remake is launching later this year. The horror shooter is coming to Nintendo Switch, though, unfortunately, there’s been no confirmation on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions just yet.

At the same time, it also hasn’t been termed an exclusive. It’s possible that the developers could announce a House of the Dead: Remake Xbox release date ahead of the 2021 launch.

Is The House of the Dead: Remake coming to PC?

Fans of the classic arcade game can get their hands on The House of the Dead: Remake for Nintendo Switch in 2021. There have been no announcements regarding a PC version on Steam, Epic Games Store, or GOG.

Since HOTD has perhaps the biggest following on PC, the chances seem good that Forever Entertainment will eventually reveal a The House of the Dead: Remake PC release date.

While fans were happy to see HOTD during the Indie World Showcase live stream, many were left wondering where Hollow Knight Silksong was.
