The latest Genshin Impact update version 1.5 allows players to build furnishings and decorate their very own homes. However, before you can start building furniture, you’ll need to find a few different types of materials. One of the more common crafting requirements is Fir Wood, but this material isn’t as easy to find as you may expect. Fortunately, there are a few locations you can visit to farm Fir Wood quickly.
Where to find Fir Wood in Genshin Impact
Fir Wood in Genshin Impact can be found around the Stormbearer Mountains, Dadaupa Gorge, and Cape Oath. Fir trees also grow in other locations across Mondstadt and Liyue, but these are the quickest places to farm Fir Wood.
To get some Fir Wood quickly, head to the fast travel point at Cape Oath. From there, you’ll see a few Fir trees to the south. They may be hard to differentiate from other trees, specifically Pines, since the two look so similar. However, once you get close, you’ll see the Fir’s signature leaves — just like the ones you’d see on a Christmas tree.
To harvest the wood, simply chop at the trees with your weapon. They won’t fall down, but you should be able to harvest three or four Fir Wood from any tree you encounter. You can’t farm it indefinitely, but there’s nothing stopping you from coming back later after their wood supplies respawn.
If you’re still unsure how to build furnishings in Genshin Impact, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you’ll need to have completed the quest called “A New Star Approaches.” You’ll also have to be at or above Adventure Rank 35. Finally, you need to start and complete the World Quest called “A Teapot to Call Home.” Completing the quest will unlock the Serenitea Pot, a gadget that allows you to choose between Housing Realms and craft different types of furniture.
