Call of Duty Vanguard Zombies

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies: release date, map, trailer details

Now Call of Duty: Vanguard is finally official and set for release this winter, there’s one question on the minds of fans: what’s happening with Zombies? The fan-favorite mode is usually reserved for Treyarch’s Call of Duty games, especially the Black Ops series. However, it’s confirmed that Zombies will return in Vanguard, which has players excited. We’ve compiled all the information we’ve got so far, from the Zombies release date, to hints at the map.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies release date

Call of Duty Vanguard Zombies

The Call of Duty: Vanguard zombies release date is November 5, 2021.

It’s worth noting that the above release date assumes that the zombies game mode will release alongside the base game, as has always been the case. It’s doubtful that Vanguard will be any different. Fans should expect to see a zombies mode available on day one, but do take that with a grain of salt, as a delayed release is always possible.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies map

Currently, there’s no information on what the Vanguard Zombies map will be. All we know so far is that Treyarch are teaming up with Vanguard developers Sledgehammer Games to take care of the mode. It’s also confirmed that it’ll continue the Dark Aether storyline established in Black Ops III, acting as a prequel to the events of Black Ops Cold War.

As such, you can bet the map will continue Vanguard’s WWII setting. This game is aiming to explore the under-represented stories of World War II, with regions like North Africa and the South Pacific. Therefore, it’ll probably be set in a region outside of usual Zombies fare.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies trailer

Similarly, we don’t have a trailer for Vanguard Zombies yet. However, it’s worth remembering that we’re still very early into the promotional campaign. Since the game’s reveal trailer didn’t show off any Zombies, you can guarantee we’ll get a dedicated Zombies trailer before release. For context, the Black Ops Cold War Zombies trailer released on September 30. Keep your eyes peeled towards the end of next month for more news.

Elsewhere, the upcoming DC games Gotham Knights, and Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League, will be shown off at the upcoming DC Fandome. The first episode of The Last of Us TV show has also finished filming.
