There is no Back 4 Blood fullscreen mode because the developers have not added it in.

For whatever reason, the only options available in Back 4 Blood on PC are Borderless Fullscreen and Windowed. That means users are limited to two types of windowed modes, with no way of setting the game to “proper” fullscreen.

How to enable fullscreen mode in Back 4 Blood?

To enable fullscreen mode in Back 4 Blood, players need to wait for an official update from the developer or wait for a mod/workaround to be made or discovered by the community.

At the time of writing, Back 4 Blood has launched in early access for those with the Ultimate Edition of the game. That means that feedback is only beginning to trickle back to the developers. Here’s hoping that the relatively small outcry regarding the lack of an exclusive fullscreen mode will be heard by the developers before the big full launch.

With any luck, developer Turtle Rock Studios will be able to implement an exclusive fullscreen mode sooner rather than later. Generally, exclusive fullscreen allows for better gaming performance, from frame time consistency to low input lag. It can also be beneficial to streamers using OBS.

For now, Back 4 Blood players will have to put up with the Borderless Fullscreen and Windowed modes.
