Is Snapchat down right now? That’s the question many users are asking, as they find that Snapchat is not sending Snaps and that the app in general isn’t working. When users try to message a contact with a Snapon Snapchat, they’re instead greeted with a recurring ‘Sending’ message. Snapchat is trying to push messages through, but ultimately isn’t sending Snaps. The sending attempt eventually times out, resulting in a ‘Failed to send’ error message.

It’s unclear how or why this error has occurred, as it’s still a very new phenomenon. Despite launching way back in 2011, Snapchat has rarely experienced outages or problems on this scale. With Snapchat not sending Snaps, it eliminates the selling point of the picture-sharing app. As such, you can expect a lot of users to transition to other messaging apps while they wait for a fix.

As such, it’s clear that Snapchat is on the case, and is trying to fix the issue of Snaps not sending. It’s unclear when we can expect a full-on fix that will allows users to use the app once more. However, the tech team will no doubt be striving to find a quick solution to Snapchat not working.

Until then, it’s a matter of waiting for a fix and hoping for the best. Since Snaps are currently not sending, all we can do is hold tight and gear up for a fix, to allow for normal service to resume.
