The Quarry Defiant or Compliant

The Quarry Defiant or Compliant: Which Should I Choose as Laura?

The Quarry Defiant and Compliant decision crops up shortly after the opening credits. With players taking control of Laura soon after she has been in a car crash. Speaking to Max, she has the choice to either be Defiant, saying “Are you my boss?,” or Compliant, saying “Hurry up!” One will result in a more positive outcome than the other. Here’s the need-to-know info on The Quarry Defiant or Compliant dialogue option and which one players should choose.

Should I choose Defiant or Compliant in The Quarry game?

The Quarry Defiant or Compliant

Compliant is the best choice when speaking to Max in The Quarry’s Prologue beside the car.

Though the Defiant option will result in a similar outcome, shouting “Are you my boss?” at Laura’s boyfriend will cause Max to become “frustrated.” This could combine with other strains on their relationship and make for devastating consequences further down the line. Players looking to play it safe with the aim of having as many characters survive as possible will want to choose Complaint.

Of course, there is more than one way to play The Quarry. For those who are looking to drive all characters to the point of madness and orchestrate as much chaos as possible, then the Defiant option may be preferred. It will test Laura and Max’s relationship from the very beginning.

As with many of the other decisions in The Quarry, the choice between Compliant and Defiant when talking to Max isn’t hugely significant to the game’s plot. If you think that you’ve chosen wrong, don’t fret, as you should still continue playing to see what happens.

In other gaming news, rumors suggest that a Nintendo Direct is scheduled for June 15. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 pre-orders are now open to fans. Forza Horizon 5 Expansion 1 has leaked ahead of an official announcement.
