As a recap through “Fun and Games,” we have sadly seen the apparent conclusion of the relationship between Jimmy and Kim. Where Kim might have met a deadly end on Breaking Bad, we instead see their partnership end with a mature conversation in Better Call Saul. She might be able to continue lying to Cheryl about what led to Howard’s death, but she can no longer bear the weight of all her cons. She is unable to push away what happened as Jimmy does with his Saul Goodman character, choosing to discard her license to practice law altogether.
Thankfully but not unexpectedly, Gus Fring is able to convince Don Eladio that the Salamancas are simply making things up that Gus was involved in Lalo’s disappearance. We also see him realize he cannot become romantically entangled with anyone, as that person would likely be used against him by other parties in the ruthless drug trade. Meanwhile, Mike attempts to reconcile with Manuel Varga about the unfortunate outcome of Nacho, but he doesn’t get any relief, nor does he really expect any.
