Zelda: Breath of the Wild Find A Bow And Arrows Early

A few hours into your The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild adventure you'll be granted a bow as part of the main story. However, if you're like us, then you'll want to grab one much sooner than that. Thankfully, there's an option.

To find the first available bow, first you need to head to the shrine on the southeastern portion of the starting area. Located on a hillside (marked with a red circle in the image below), and traveled to by knocking down a tree to cross a ravine before climbing, it is one of the first four shrines you visit in the game.

Once you enter the shrine you will learn a new Rune that allows you to move stationary boulders, among other things. Once you learn this skill, you can head outside and find large boulder just feet away from the shrine. Use the Rune to toss it out of the way, revealing a treasure chest with a bow inside.

In order to use the bow you will require arrows. Arrows can be found just west of the starting area tower, on the southern shoreline of a body of water (marked with a green circle in the image below). They're inside some crates.

Have fun with your first bow!
