Hi-Fi Rush PS5 Release Date: Is it Coming to PlayStation 5?

Hi-Fi Rush was recently both revealed and released on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The game, developed by Tango Gameworks, follows on from The Evil Within and The Evil Within 2 but jumps to a massively different genre, that of a rhythm-based action-adventure title using a massively stylised artstyle. It’s currently a Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S exclusive, but fans are wondering if the game is coming to PlayStation 5 and if so, whether there’s a Hi-Fi Rush PS5 release date.

Is Hi-Fi Rush coming to PS5 and is there a release date?

It’s altogether extremely unlikely that Hi-Fi Rush releases on PS5 anytime soon, if at all. Tango Gameworks is a studio owned by Zenimax Media, which is now owned by Microsoft as part of its acquisition of all Bethesda studios.

While Tango Gameworks recently released Ghostwire Tokyo for PlayStation as an exclusive, that game was part of already existing contractual obligations between Tango Gameworks and Sony. There’s no such obligation for Hi-Fi Rush, so there’s no guarantee that we ever see a Hi-Fi Rush PS5 release, or see it ported to any other system. It’s altogether possible that the game just sticks to being an Xbox exclusive for a long, long time.
