There aren’t any consequences for using Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy. Despite it being one of the three Unforgivable Curses, which normally result in a life sentence in Azkaban Prison, the game allows you to use them with impunity.

Surprisingly, you don’t get in trouble for using Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy. It might seem strange for fans of the franchise, but the worst you’ll get for using the Killing Curse is that human NPCs will grumble in battle if they see you use it.

Avada Kedavra is one of the last spells you can learn in Hogwarts Legacy, and it’s the most powerful. Any target struck with it will be killed instantly. That’s not just the case for weaker enemies, either. With the curse, you can defeat even larger foes like trolls in a single blast.

However, instead of instantly resulting in your expulsion from Hogwarts and a date with dementors, the game just doesn’t address the issue. Instead, you can kill, torture, and mind control your enemies to your heart’s content once you have learned the spells. Heck, the person that teaches you them isn’t even portrayed as a bad guy.

So, if you want to let the dark wizard in you out, don’t fret. It won’t affect the story whatsoever.
