Hogwarts Legacy How to Wait Bed Sleep

Hogwarts Legacy Pass Time: Can You Sleep to Advance From Night to Day?

You can’t sleep in your bed in Hogwarts Legacy. Instead, you pass time and switch between day and night by accessing the map. There, at the bottom of the screen, you’ll see that you can wait by pressing the right button.

Additionally, many quests in Hogwarts Legacy require you to advance time to day or night to start them. Fortunately, you’ll almost always be prompted to pass the time without the need to access the map screen.

Hogwarts Legacy Wait Pass Time

You have a bed in Hogwarts Legacy but can’t sleep in it. Unfortunately, there’s no option to rest in the dormitories. So instead, passing the time is done via a shortcut on the map screen.

How do you switch from daytime to nighttime in Hogwarts Legacy?

To wait and pass the time from nighttime to daytime in Hogwarts Legacy, go to the map screen and press the following button to use the Wait function:

  • R3: PS4/PS5
  • RS: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Controller), Switch
  • F: PC (Keyboard)

You’ll then get a prompt asking you if you want to pass the time from night to day or day to night. There’s no fine-tuning the time, and you’ll skip to the beginning of each cycle.
