Cocaine Bear is soon to hit theaters, inspired by the true story of an American black bear that ingested a duffel bag full of the titular drug in 1985. This horror comedy from Universal Pictures will likely take more than a pinch of creative license with its telling, but is it on Netflix? It stars the likes of Keri Russell, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Alden Ehrenreich, Christian Convery, Brooklynn Prince, Ray Liotta, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Aaron Holliday, and Matthew Rhys, with Elizabeth Banks serving as director.
Now that tickets are booking for the film, not everybody wants to head to the movie theater to check this film out. So, is Cocaine Bear available for streaming on Netflix? Or will it be coming to another platform, such as Peacock, Prime Video, HBO Max, or even Disney Plus?

Cocaine Bear is expected to stream on Peacock at some point after its theatrical run. No official date for streaming has yet been given, but as it’s a Universal Pictures movie, it will likely arrive on the platform following its cinematic debut (February 24, 2023), barring an unprecedented turn of events.
Other films from Universal Pictures have landed around eight weeks after their arrival in theaters, so we may see this one available to stream online from mid-to-late April 2023.
Will Cocaine Bear be available on Prime Video?
Cocaine Bear will eventually stream on Prime Video, thanks to a licensing deal between Universal Filmed Entertainment Group and Amazon. Their high-profile features head to the Prime Video service at some point after their Peacock run. This is usually around four months, so the movie could hit Prime Video around August 2023.
Will Cocaine Bear stream on Netflix, HBO Max, or Disney Plus?
Cocaine Bear is unlikely to become available to stream on Netflix, HBO Max, Disney Plus, or another streaming platform. They are all huge streaming platform competitors for both Peacock and Prime Video, and so the aforementioned deal means there is little to no chance this movie will make the leap over to these services.
