Resident Evil 4 Remake Save Dog Help Wolf

Resident Evil 4 Remake: Save the Dog: Can you help the wolf?

You can’t save the first wolf you see in Resident Evil 4 remake. When you see that it’s dead, you might think that you did something wrong and need to restart and do something different to help it. Fortunately, you can help a dog (which looks sort of like a wolf) later on in RE4 remake by helping it out of a bear trap, just like in the original

Resident Evil 4 Remake Dog in Bear Trap

You can’t help the first wolf you see in Resident Evil 4 remake. It’s long deceased by the time you get there, and it’s really a bait-and-switch from Capcom. Fortunately, you’ll still be able to save the dog you meet later in the game.

In Chapter 2, you’ll find a dog stuck in a bear trap just after you pass through the Village Chief’s House. If you veer right instead of heading through the gate, you can free it, and it’ll run off.

Just like in the original, freeing the dog gains you a buddy in the first El Gigante fight. Halfway through the battle, the dog will appear and distract the monster, allowing you to hit the weak spot on its back.

Unfortunately, the dog’s lore hasn’t been expanded. After the fight, it disappears, never to be heard from again.
