Resident Evil 4 Remake Easter Eggs and Secrets: Lake Monster, Classic Dialogue

Like the original, the Resident Evil 4 remake is packed with easter eggs and secrets. While these won’t affect your gameplay, they are a great incentive to explore everything the game offers. However, finding them all yourself is challenging, so we’ve gathered a list of every easter egg in Resident Evil 4 and where to find them, from the Lake Monster through to Classic dialogue, the throne pose, and more.

How to find all the Easter Eggs in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Even if you’re familiar with the easter eggs from the original game, some new ones were added to the RE4 remake.

Classic dialogueCheck your trophy descriptions to see the dialogue that didn’t make it into the remake.
Throne PoseA returning classic, sit on Saddler’s throne in the castle to receive a special message from the game.
Killer 7 weaponThis weapon is a reference to Capcom’s Killer 7 game.
El Gigante’s childhood notesAfter defeating El Gigante, head back to the paddock to discover stories about raising the creature.
Shooting Gallery musicThe music in the shooting gallery is the same played in the original game’s opening scene.
Title screen voiceoverYou must purchase and enable the OST to trigger this easter egg. Once enabled, the title screen will have a voiceover from the original game.
Salazar StatueThe giant statue is not in the remake, but smaller versions are available as collectibles. There’s one per chapter, each making a squeaky noise to help track them down.
Ashley’s unlocking commentIn Chapter 16, Ashley references the “master of unlocking” line from Resident Evil 1 when asked to open a door.
Joseph KendoThe SG-09 R handgun has the name of Resident Evil 3’s gun shop owner engraved on the back.
Chicago Sweeper danceEquip the Chicago Sweeper weapon and pinstripe suit, then reload your weapon. Leon will perform a unique animation. Reload a few times in quick succession to trigger a different one.
