The God of War Ragnarok New Game Plus update has arrived, and with it comes the 4.00 patch notes. An increased level cap is just the tip of the iceberg. Here are all of the features now available.

The God of War Ragnarok update 4.00 patch notes list several major changes and additions to the game. An increased level cap will allow returning players to convert their Level 9 equipment into ‘Plus’ versions, opening up additional levels of progression. Endgame bosses have also been tweaked to keep the fights fresh.
Five new pieces of equipment have been added, with your NG+ run gifting you Armor of the Black Bear from the start. Ares Armor, Spartan Armor, and a new shield called Spartan Aspis will all be available for purchase from the Huldra Brothers’ Shop. Zeus Armor, meanwhile, can be picked up by defeating Gna the Valkyrie Queen and completing specific Remnants of Asgard in NG+.
New color combinations have been added for 13 existing armors, 12 of which are available via the Huldra Brothers, and one which you can gain after defeating the Berserker King. Defeating Berserker Souls will grant massive stat boost enchantments, while Gilded Coins can be used for enchantments on your ‘Plus’ equipment. There are also negative Perk enchantments called Burdens, for those wanting a steeper challenge.
New progression paths include New Skill Mod Plus, allowing you to upgrade existing Skill Mod tokens further with XP, and Platinum Tier Labors, to carry over your Kill Labors or Ratatasks progress. Nornir Chests now also grant Yggdrasil Dew, to push stat gains further.
Then there’s the expanded Niflheim Arena, giving you the option to play as either Kratos or Atreus, and fight alongside Freya, Brok, Sindri, Angrboda, Ingrid, Thor, and Thrud.
