Star Wars Jedi Survivor Best Stance

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: What’s the Best Stance?

There is no one best stance in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. All of them have their strengths and weaknesses, and none of them excel at all aspects of combat. The aim is to mix and match stances so that the two you have equipped complement each other. We’ll describe each stance in Jedi Survivor below and give some tips on which ones work the best together.

What are the best stances to equip in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?

The best stances to equip in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are those that complement each other. You can only have two equipped at a time, so most people will pick the two that best fit their playstyle and level up their skill trees. However, it’s worth trying each of them as they all have unique mechanics that make them useful.

Single Stance

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Single Stance
  • Power: 5
  • Speed: 5
  • Range: 5
  • Defense: 5

The Single Stance is the only one in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that pairs well with all the other stances. It features balanced stats and is reliable in all situations. In addition, its Dash Strike can help you lunge forward and hit enemies out of reach, and Aerial Ace gives you a decent area of effect attack.

Unfortunately, because it doesn’t excel at anything, it can be challenging for Single Stance to match the DPS output of the others.

Pairs well with: Any

Double-Bladed Stance

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Double Bladed Stance
  • Power: 4
  • Speed: 6
  • Range: 3
  • Defense: 6

The Double-Bladed Stance is the best for crowd control. Its attacks are quick, and many of them travel on a horizontal arc that can hit multiple enemies at once. Endless Hurricane is good against either single or multiple targets, and Controlled Throw lets you stagger enemies by keeping your lightsaber in the air after throwing it.

The Double-Bladed Stance’s big weakness is its lack of skills that help you close the distance with enemies. It’s pretty short-range, which makes it tough to keep up with faster foes.

Pairs well with: Single, Crossguard

Dual Wield Stance

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Dual Wield Stance
  • Power: 6
  • Speed: 10
  • Range: 2
  • Defense: 3

If you’ve got a need for speed, then the Dual Wield stance is for you. It’s got a maxed-out Speed stat and above-average Power, which allows you to cut through enemy guard quickly. It’s a more technical stance and is the only one that allows you to cancel attacks with L1 or LB. It also gives you the ability to focus and auto-parry the enemy’s next attack.

The Dual Wield Stance encourages unrelenting offense, and its defense suffers as a consequence. Additionally, its only multi-target attack is its Dancing Blades, which is relatively weak.

Pairs well with: Single, Double-Bladed, Blaster

Blaster Stance

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Blaster Stance
  • Power: 3
  • Speed: 7
  • Range: 10
  • Defense: 5

The Blaster Stance is all about range. You can pick off weak foes with one or two regular shots or one charged shot. Unfortunately, you only have a limited amount of blaster ammo and have to hit enemies with your lightsaber to generate more. That means you often have to face the Blaster Stance’ weakness: short-range combat.

The Blaster Stance is all about range, and it’s devastating against run-of-the-mill foes. However, those with higher guards are best dealt with another way.

Pairs well with: Single, Dual Wield, Crossguard

Crossguard Stance

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Crossguard Stance
  • Power: 10
  • Speed: 1
  • Range: 6
  • Defense: 8

If you’ve played a strength build in Dark Souls, you’ll already be familiar with how the Crossguard Stance feels in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. This slow but powerful fighting style hammers enemy guard at the expense of speed. Each blow has a big wind-up, but if you stay on the defense and bide your time, you can unleash powerful combos which stagger even powerful enemies in 2-3 hits.

Because of how slow it is, Crossguard is best paired with a faster stance with better crowd control capabilities.

Pairs well with: Single, Double-Bladed, Blaster
