What is the Apple Watch Series 9 release date?

Apple Watch Series 9 Release Date Speculation

While there is no official Apple Watch Series 9 release date, it will most likely be September 2023.

This date is based on prior release dates for the Apple Watch over the last five years. From 2017 to 2022, the Apple Watch Series 3 through Series 8 all launched in September. Specifically, it’s typically the first or second week of September, with the release date landing on either a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

So if we’re following the pattern, the Apple Watch Series 9 release date will fall somewhere between September 5 to September 7 or between September 12 to September 14. It’s pretty much a toss-up as to which week it will be on. Either way, the release date will be arriving soon, so you may want to hold out on buying a Series 8 unless you can find a good deal.

As for the Apple Watch Series 9 price, it will likely be at around $399, though probably more expensive in the UK at around £419. This is if we’re following the pricing model for the Apple Watch Series 8. The price in both regions for the Series 9 could increase, though. given that we know that it will come with the watchOS 10 system.

This new system, according to Apple analyst Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter, will bring “bigger enhancements, including an updated interface.” More importantly, Gurman stated on the Power On Discord channel that the Series 9 would have a new processor that he believed is “based on the A15 chip” that the iPhone 13 comes with. If true, this means that the Series 9 could have a much faster processing speed than the Series 8. What’s more, a supposed leak on Twitter has revealed the redesigned homescreen layout or grid that will come with watchOS 10.
