Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Wild Greens Porridge

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: Wild Greens Location: How to Get Porridge Ingredients for Gloom-Borne Illness Quest

You’re asked to get wild greens in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as one of the ingredients for porridge in the Gloom-Born Illness Quest. When you meet Lasil in Kakariko Village, she’ll be trying to figure out how to cure her grandmother of an illness she acquired by accidentally touching the gloom. However, she hasn’t found the ingredient that heals gloom sickness. Fortunately, the porridge is simple to make once you understand the recipe.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Wild Greens Porridge Recipe

The three ingredients Lasli says she uses as a porridge recipe in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are:

  • Hylian Rice
  • Fresh Milk
  • Wild Greens

What makes this confusing is that Hylian Rice and Fresh Milk are both the names of items you can get. This might lead you to believe that you can also find a “Wild Green” growing somewhere. However, this isn’t the case. While you can buy both Hylian Rice and Fresh Milk at the Hateno General Store, there isn’t an item called “Wild Greens” in the game.

Instead, Lasli is saying that any wild green can be used to make porridge in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It’s also a clue pointing you to the gloom-resistant ingredient you need to use to complete the quest. A few plants are described as “wild,” but only one restores health depleted by gloom when used in cooking: Sundelion. If you don’t have any, you can find it throughout the sky islands, where it grows commonly.

So, the porridge recipe you need to use to complete the Gloom-Borne Illness quest is:

  • Hylian Rice
  • Fresh Milk
  • Sundelion

Throw one of each ingredient in a cooking pot, and you’ll get Sunny Vegetable Porridge. Once you cook it, take it to Lasli, and she’ll feed it to her grandmother, saving her life.

When you complete Gloom-Borne Illness, the clothes shop prices will finally drop to normal, and you’ll get some porridge of your own as thanks.
