Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Buy Back

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Buy Back: How to Get Lost Armor and Items Back?

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom buy back options are something players are anxious about, especially after selling important armor and key items they might have sold or dropped accidentally. This includes armor that they have gained by swiping any compatible amiibos with TotK or one of the many parts of a cool-looking armor set. Unfortunately, the vast majority of shops in the game do not have a buyback option like in other open-world games like Skyrim. Here’s whether The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom allows to purchase lost armor and items back.

Can you buy back armor and items in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

Yes, you can buy back armor and key items in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. There are two locations you can actually do this, but they specialize in different items and use different currencies.

The first location is Cece’s Shop in Hateno Village. As depicted in this screenshot, you can buy back armor you’ve lost throughout the game by offering the typical cost of 4,000 rupees to purchase various armor set pieces from, say, the Miner’s Set, Ember Set, and Mystic Set.

The downside, though, is that this fashionista’s clothing store doesn’t unlock until you complete a long line of sidequests involving Cece and Reede. You’ll need to complete five quests, specifically “Team Cece or Team Reede?”, “A Letter to Koyin”, “A New Signature Food”, “Reede’s Secret”, and “Cece’s Secret”.

The second location is the giant Bargainer Statue found in the depths. After interacting with the Bargainer Statue at Lookout Landing, you can find the location of other Bargainer Statues including the one in the depths. Here, you’ll be able to trade 400 poes for lost key items or important armor like the Tunic of the Hero, Cap of Time, Trousers of Twilight, and more.

It’s unclear if both shops feature the same buy back items or if their buy back catalogs overlap, but even if they do, you’ll at least have the option of using rupees or poes.
