Diablo 4 World Tier 5 has been datamined, revealing many details of what may come with the new difficulty setting. We’re going to explain the new gem ranks, a new capstone dungeon, and new seasonal content that looks like it will come with the new difficulty tier. All of this is based on placeholder data hidden deep within the Diablo 4 files, so everything here is subject to change and will likely be tweaked by Blizzard before World Tier V is officially released. So it’s advised that you take this info with a grain of salt. That said, here’s what we know so far about the World Tier 5 in Diablo 4.
What is the Diablo 4 World Tier 5 release date?
Blizzard does not have an official release date yet for World Tier 5, but we speculate that it may arrive with the first of the two confirmed expansions for Diablo 4.
While there’s a chance that World Tier 5 could be introduced at the start of Season 1 in mid-to-late July 2023, we still believe that most casual players won’t be anywhere close to Level 100 or even Level 75 where they’ll need to finish the second capstone dungeon to reach World Tier 4.
Is there a Diablo 4 World Tier 5 capstone dungeon?
Yes. According to a placeholder marker on the map of Sanctuary found in the datamine, there will be a capstone dungeon for Diablo 4 World Tier 5 in Fractured Peaks.
It’s still unclear, though, which dungeon in this frozen tundra will be turned into the capstone dungeon. It would be interesting if it was a redux of the Cathedral of Light capstone dungeon just with harder enemies.
It’s also unclear if the new World Tier will come with a new level cap as well. If it does, the maximum number of paragon points will surely increase.
What are the new gem ranks for Diablo 4 World Tier 5?
Yes, there are three new gem ranks for Diablo 4 World Tier 5. It’s uncertain what the sixth gem rank will be named (hexagon gem), but the datamine suggests that Rank 7 will be called “Magnificent” (circular gem) and Rank 8 will be called “Perfect” (teardrop gem).
Beyond that, seasons could be segmented into specific chapters, and there may be a section of the stash dedicated to seasonal content. This implies that you can put seasonal items into the regular stash, but not vice versa.
