If you’re trying to unlock the Final Fantasy 16 Grim Reaper hunt, you must meet a few requirements. This is one of the last hunts to unlock, so don’t expect it to hit the board until it’s nearly time for the credits to roll. Of course, after unlocking the hunt, you’ll still have to find the location of the Prince of Death in FF16 to take it down.
How to unlock the Grim Reaper hunt in Final Fantasy 16
To unlock the Grim Reaper hunt in Final Fantasy 16, you must start the second to last main quest in the game, Back to Their Origin. At this point, you’ll notice a ton of side quests have opened up. However, you’re only required to complete two of them to unlock the Grim Reaper hunt:
- Under New Management
- Under New Management 2
To unlock Under New Management 2, you simply have to start Back to Their Origin and speak to Jill. Then, complete the quest and check the Hunt board to find the entry for the Grim Reaper:
“There is a saying among the imperial soldiers of the Northreach garrison–’steer clear of the drowned tower, less the specter’s sickle reap your root.’ They speak in typically uncouth terms of the thrall that swell within the aetherflood–one whose frightful aspect and command over lesser minions would appear to mark him as a high-ranking member of his species.”
Where to find Grim Reaper location in FF16
To find the Grim Reaper’s location in Final Fantasy 16, you’ll need to head to Cape Orsiere in Sanbreque. To get there quickly, fast travel to Northreach, then head northwest out of the settlement toward the middle of Cape Orsiere.
Luckily, the Prince of Death is easy to find. You should be able to spot him from a distance. When you’re ready, close in, and the fight will begin.
