Pandemonium is a Rank S hunt you’ll unlock near the end of Final Fantasy 16. As with all Notorious Marks in FF16, you’ll need to find Pandemonium’s location using the hints on the hunt board, which isn’t always easy. Fortunately, we can show you exactly where to spot him below.
Where to find Pandemonium in Final Fantasy 16
In Final Fantasy 16, you’ll find the location of Pandemonium in The Shadow Coast of Waloed.
To find Pandemonium:
- Fast travel to The Shadow Coast.
- Head northwest into Wolfdarr until the path forks.
- Curve toward the south-southwest, then head south.
- Keep going until you reach a circular area with a big gate.
- A cutscene will play when you’re in the right spot, introducing Pandemonium.
You unlock the Pandemonium hunt after completing the main quest “Footfalls in Ash,” and he is one of the harder targets to find in FF16. Your only clues on the hunt board are that he fought against the Waloeders and that the remnants of his armies still roam there:
“Those few souls who were able to escape from Ash before the skies changed tell of Pandemonium, the King of the Orcs who led his fellow beastmen in revolt against Waloeder rule. Though his rebellion was swiftly crushed by King Barnabas’s armies, many of the orcs who now roam the Twins, sating their appetite for human flesh, bear his markings–suggesting that he still commands his forces today.”
Since Wolfdarr is overrun with orcs, I suppose you’re expected to figure out that they must have a leader hanging around somewhere. Well, they do, and that leader happens to be Pandemonium.
How to beat Pandemonium in FF16
Pandemonium is one of the harder hunts in Final Fantasy 16. He’s got a lot of HP and some devastating area-of-effect attacks. The big thing to keep in mind here is not to overextend yourself. Always be ready to dodge his Sanguine Rite orbs, which he casts in increasing frequency as the battle continues.
For beating Pandemonium, you get the following:
- Stained Loincloth x1
- 15,000 XP
- 120 AP
- 20,000 Gil
- 50 Renown
Of note here is the Stained Loincloth. As nasty as that sounds, it’s a useful crafting item that can be used to make The Sons of Ouroboros, one of the best sets of vambraces in the game.
