Armored Core 6 Cel 240 Boss Fight: How to Beat

Armored Core 6 Cel 240 Boss Fight: How to Beat

The Armored Core 6 Cel 240 boss fight is likely not going to be an easy endeavor for many players. This agile, aggressive mech is tough to take down, but there are some tricks for players to learn. Here’s how to beat Cel 240 in Armored Core 6 in the Reach the Coral Convergence mission.

How to beat Cel 240 in Armored Core 6

There are a few methods you can use to beat Cel 240 in Armored Core 6, but a popular one revolves around using the Stun Needle Launcher called VE-60SNA. These back units can stun a boss easily if these shots land. The Stun Needle Launcher is obtained after completing Historic Data Recovery in Chapter 3. Given how Cel 240 is in Chapter 4, players should have access to this weapon.

The key is to equip two of these back weapons to stun the boss and then glide in and do a ton of damage with arm weapons as they sit there defenseless. It’s mostly up to you what you want the other weapons to be, as there appear to be many different types that can get the job done. Shotguns, a laser lance, or Gatling guns should work out, but it is dependent on your taste and build.

The Stun Needles have a bit of a travel time, so you’ll need to time your shots. Shoot when Cel 240 is sitting still or just after it has moved. Learning the timing is critical in landing these shots since randomly spraying likely won’t work consistently.

Being aggressive is a solid strategy, but it still helps to know Cel 240’s attack patterns. When it jumps up in the air and has red electrical static protruding out in two lines, just keep moving in one direction either left or right. It’ll also set up little turrets, and while these can be avoided, they don’t do much damage and it’s probably more worth it to pay attention to its other big attacks.

When it twirls in the air, it’ll shoot two volleys of lasers. Just be ready and dodge to the side. The slower wave slices are easier to evade if you don’t fully commit to a direction (be quick to weave in the opposite direction if it shoots two waves), but the trio of small lasers it shoots out are misleading since they’ll stop and fire another time. Be wary of that since it’ll throw off your timing if you dodge based on the initial blast.

The second phase is mostly the same, but Cel 240 has some new moves. The Iron Man-like chest unibeam is a tough one, but can be dodged at the last second. It’s big and does a ton of damage if it hits so be careful.
