MK1 Halloween Fatality: How to Get the Seasonal Finisher

The MK1 Halloween Fatality is the first seasonal finisher in the game. It was most recently seen in the patch notes for the October update, but it wasn’t clear how to get it. Here’s how to unlock the Mortal Kombat 1 Halloween Fatality and what it will look like.

How to get the Halloween Fatality in MK1

To get the Halloween Fatality in MK1, you will have to purchase it from the premium store. It is 1,200 Dragon Krystals — its scarce premium currency — which is around $12. It’s also unlikely to be something players can unlock through gameplay.

As the official Warner Bros. Twitter account noted, it came to store on October 27 when the new items cycled in. This is well before the second season is slated to start, as it is slated for November 12, which is one week after its first season ends. It is unclear if it will come back to the store one day but very likely.

More Mortal Kombat 1

The actual MK1 Halloween Fatality has also been pulled out of the game’s files. While a little muddy due to originating from the highly criticized Switch version, this Fatality has players slamming a bug-infested jack-o’-lantern on the opponent’s head. They then kick the pumpkin and head so hard that it flies off and lands on someone’s front porch before splitting open to reveal the lifeless head.

Season 2, which is titled Season of the Blood Moon, is set to be centered around Halloween, as noted by its bloody slasher-like teaser and the new time-limited Halloween stage that adds spooky decorations to Cage Mansion. Its set of intro and outro videos have also been datamined out of the game and features Nitara and her vampiric subjects, which is fitting for the season.

Other seasons have also been datamined out of the game, and it appears as though Season 3 will be titled Season of the Cryomancer, something hinted at in the datamined teaser video.
