Monopoly Go Best Strategy: How to Get More Dice Rolls

The Monopoly Go best strategy is earning more dice than you spend, but that can be easier said than done. It’s very easy to drain your dice bank just by going around the board a few times. New players can become frustrated trying to get more rolls without having to wait many hours for their dice pool to regenerate over several hours. It can seem impossible to obtain all of the milestones for main events and tournaments, or finishing all four partnerships for co-op partner events. But with enough diligence and some luck, you can save more than 90,000 dice (like in the screenshot above) with enough measured, patient play. Here’s how to get more dice rolls in Monopoly Go for iOS and Android.

What is the Monopoly Go best strategy for getting more dice rolls?

The best strategy to get more dice rolls in Monopoly Go will largely depend on how much dice you have in your current pool. So we’re going to sort our recommendations for earning more rolls from the early game for new players to the late game for expert players.

  • Free Gifts – Every eight hours, the Shop will have a free gift that you can claim that will have a small amount of dice (roughly 20 to 40 dice) that you can earn for free. You will need to claim this free gift to reset the eight-hour cooldown.
  • Complete daily wins and collect daily treats – Every day, you can finish the three daily objectives and collect a daily treat for more rolls.
  • Free Dice Links – Scopely will usually provide several free codes a day that you can use to earn 25 to 40 dice for every link. This can sometimes include sticker packs and event currency too.
  • Avoid Casual Rolling – Spending dice to go around the board, whether you use auto-rolling or not, is not recommended. Instead, wait for events like Free Parking (for dice, not for money) or main event banners where you can earn extra dice rolls by getting enough event points.
  • Practice Targeted Rolling – To land on specific spaces, you will want your token to be 6 to 8 spaces away from them for the best odds. We suggest going around the board with a x1 multiplier until you are ideally 7 spaces away before raising the multiplier to a comfortable amount you’re willing to risk before rolling.
  • Use Landmark Rush + Wheel Boost combo – Don’t spend cash on upgrading landmarks until the Landmark Boost appears. Board Rush boosts are okay, but they tend to award fewer dice. Instead, wait for Landmark Boosts with Wheel Boosts to earn bonus dice with every completed landmark and extra wheel spins for even more dice.
  • Pair High Roller With Jail & Free Parking Dice – Once you have enough dice, you can use the High Roller boost to roll a x1000 multiplier. If you target Go to Jail or tax/utility tiles during Free Parking Dice x2 events, it is possible to collect thousands of extra dice.
  • Wait for Main Event and Tournament Synergy – Even better, sometimes the main event and the daily tournament will both allow you to earn points by landing on railroad spaces. This is one of the best times to roll and collect milestones with hundreds or thousands of dice.
  • Always Roll During Partner Events and Mini-Games – The Peg-E and treasure-digging mini-games are great opportunities to earn extra dice and rewards. For co-op partner events, you can ask some expert players to carry you for a few extra 5-star stickers or at least meet you halfway (or 50/50) for a partnership.
  • Complete Sticker Sets & Albums – Finishing sticker sets will earn hundreds of dice while completing whole albums will give you thousands. Use Monopoly Go Discord communities or various Monopoly Go Reddits to trade stickers with other players, while using the Safe Trading feature to avoid getting scammed.

In general, don’t rage-roll. Look for the best times and opportunities to roll. As much as the game tries to compel you to spend dice, you don’t need to do that.
