Mortal Kombat 11 Christmas Event | Winter Wonderland details

Christmas is the most joyful time of year, which somewhat clashes with the Mortal Kombat series’ ultra-violence and intended shock value. It’s said that opposites attract, though, so maybe the Mortal Kombat 11 Christmas event is actually a match made in heaven? At the very least, playing it in the presence of unwanted guests might scare them off and leave you with some valuable me-time this holiday season. Regardless, here’s everything you need to know about the Mortal Kombat 11 Winter Wonderland event.

Mortal Kombat 11 Winter Wonderland event dates and details

Mortal Kombat 11 Christmas event

Winter Wonderland is a Tower event within the game’s Towers of Time mode and is freely accessible to all players. The event introduces a host of new match modifiers serving to celebrate the festive season. Battling through the three Winter Wonderland Towers will allow you to earn in-game character skins, player module pieces, holiday-specific konsumables, and more.

The event goes live on Sunday, December 22, giving you a couple of days from now to jump back into the game and start sharpening your skills before tackling the new limited-time event Towers. Winter Wonderland will remain available until Friday, December 27, so don’t delay if you’re looking to get involved with the Mortal Kombat 11 Christmas event.

If you’re curious what festive modifiers you’ll be faced with, Mortal Kombat 11 publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment shared the following:

Falling Killer Kanes, Sledding Tarkatans, Parachuting Ginger Deadmen, Exploding Snowmen, Christmas Trees, Menorahs, Dreidels, and Shooting Stars.

Never have Christmas implements sounded so deadly! Specific competition rewards haven’t been shared at this time, so you’ll need to get involved and find out for yourself come this Sunday (December 22) when Winter Wonderland is introduced as a free update.

Whatever the rewards are, it’s gotta be worth getting involved just to see the likes of the Terminator T-800 get taken out by a weaponized dreidel…
