Oculus Rift Founder: Let There Be Porn

The team behind the Facebook-owned Oculus Rift VR headset has been somewhat quietly working on their platform, aiming for a release in the first quarter of 2016. The team held a conference in San Jose, California yesterday, where a variety of topics were covered, such as game offerings, introductory headsets, developing partners… and porn.

While other panelists squirmed in their seats, Oculus Rift founder Palmer Luckey plowed into the question head first, saying of adult programs and applications, “The Rift is an open platform. We don’t control what software can run on it. And that’s a big deal.”

It's a good sign for purveyors of the pornographic pictorals, but a note of caution to go with it: if that stuff can make you go blind today as it is, imagine when it's plastered to your face in virtual reality.
