Project CARS Passes 1 Million Copies Sold

Project CARS was met with plenty of critical acclaim when it came out in early May, but clearly it's resonated with many audiences since its release. In fact, the game has sold over one million copies worldwide.

The news comes from a Bandai Namco press release. Ian Bell, Studio Head of Slightly Mad Studios, commented on the success of the game and what it means for the development team.

"To now stand here having reached over a million players in such a short time really justifies the work both the team and the community have done over the years and solidifies Project CARS’ future as the multi-platform racing experience of choice for fans around the world," he said. "And we’ll be talking more about that future very, very soon."

Project CARS is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Be sure to read Jonathan Leack's review of the game to get an idea of what makes the racing sim so great.
