Devil’s Third Heads to Wii U in August

Devil's Third, the upcoming action game from Tomonobu Itagaki and Valhalla Game Studios, has had a troublesome development cycle. But now the game has a release date, at least in some territories.

New gameplay footage, which can be viewed above, mentions an August 8 release date in Japan. In addition, Nintendo's UK Twitter account says the game will come out there on August 28. Nintendo of America has yet to comment on whether a U.S. release will also follow in August.

The gameplay footage video features an interview with Itagaki, though it's all in Japanese. In-game footage is a universal language though, and there's plenty of that in the video.

Devil's Third was originally a PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC title published by THQ. Years later and it's a Wii U exclusive with Nintendo handling the publishing duties. We'll soon find out whether it was worth the wait.
