Xbox One Scores Early Open Beta and Timed Exclusive DLC For Tom Clancy’s The Division

It appears that Microsoft is making an effort to attract gamers looking to play Tom Clancy's The Division.

Microsoft's widely-publicized marketing deal with Ubisoft has resulted in two types of timed exclusivity for The Division. First, Xbox One will be the first platform to enter open beta, which will start on February 18th at 9:00AM. The PS4 and PC versions will join 24 hours later on February 19th.

Secondly, The Division's DLC will have 30-day timed exclusivity on Xbox One. Although specific details about the content hasn't been disclosed, PS4 and PC players will need to wait a few weeks before the DLC arrives on their respective platform.

The Division is expected to be one of 2016's biggest games with an ambitious MMO-esque ecosystem that allows players to explore and play against both A.I. and other players in a progression-oriented open-world. During the last beta phase over one million players signed up to play, and it quickly became a top-played and livestreamed game.

Tom Clancy's The Division will release on March 8th.
