Final Final Fantasy XV Has Gone Gold, Gets New Trailer To Celebrate

After more than 10 years of development, Final Fantasy XV has gone gold.

Final Fantasy XV began development in 2006 under the name Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Square Enix would recognize its potential part-way through development, and instead of implementing it as a subseries title for Fabula Nova Crystallis as it originally intended, it would expand on its foundation to become a main installment for the Final Fantasy franchise. This would explain its multi-year delay.

The game takes place on Eos, a world similar to our own. It employs both real-time action combat in addition to a large open-world in response to requests from fans.

A new CG trailer has debuted alongside the news, which demonstrates the themes of the game along with showcasing several major characters. It can be seen below.

Final Fantasy XV is scheduled to release on November 29th for PS4 and Xbox One. A PC port is possible in the future.
