Mario Wishes Xbox a Happy 15th Birthday

Mario might not be real (sort of), but Nintendo is, and it took time out today to congratulate Xbox on 15 years of history.

The post on the official Nintendo of America Twitter account states:

Happy anniversary, @Xbox! Congratulations on 15 fantastic years.

The Xbox was released on November 15th, 2001 to incredible competition. Its main draw was its increased horsepower when compared to the best-selling PlayStation 2, delivered by a Custom 733 MHz Intel Pentium 3 processor, 64MB of DDR RAM, and a 233 MHz nVidia NV2A.

The Xbox would go on to sell 20 million units, made possible by the alluring release of Halo: Combat Evolved and its Xbox Live ecosystem.

Happy birthday, Xbox!
